Introduction To
My Journal
Starting therapy helped me understand myself better, giving me the confidence to put my thoughts and feelings into words—and to feel the positive impact it had in my well-being.
Since then, journaling has become a personal ritual—my way of slowing down, checking in with myself, and growing in self-awareness.
How Do I Practice Journaling?
If you’ve ever tried journaling, you might relate to the feeling that it can take a lot of mental energy, making it hard to keep up as a habit.
However, I’ve found a way to integrate journaling that works for me and helps me practice it consistently.
This is what I use as journaling tools in my everyday life

Physical Journal
Plan and reflection
One of my main ways of journaling is through my physical journals. Although I started with a plain notebook, once I found a journal that met my needs, I stuck with it ever since.
In my case, I use Ein Guter Plan, a notebook divided into two parts: exercises for practicing reflection and mindfulness, and a yearly planner structured by weeks to organize my tasks, plan my week, and stay focused while reflecting and planning monthly.
Digital Journal
A big fan of Notion
One of the turning points in my journaling experience was when I realized that I preferred to write my reflections in a digital format. Not only for convenience reasons (and to avoid hand pain after long writing sessions—lol), but also because I have created a digital space on Notion where I can structure my journaling my way.
After playlists, Notion is my other obsession. In my space for journaling, I have different sub-spaces for various areas of my life (social, career, personal, etc.), as well as dedicated spaces for each year's goals, learnings, and more .
Playlists
Spotify can't read my mind
After journaling about a specific situation or emotion I'm going through, I like to create playlists with songs whose lyrics or vibe resonate with what I journaled about.
Many times, thinking about which songs fit into the playlist helps me to even reflect and process the situation or emotion more deeply. Although Spotify has and generates many editorial or algorithmic playlists for specific moments and moods, I like to curate my playlists consciously and purposefully to make them personal and relatable.

Sharing My
Personal Reflections
Hopefully, what I write in my journal will always remain a secret—just between my journal and me. But you can read some of my personal entries about playlists, music, and life in my personal blog and my social media channels hehe 🙂
