The Story Behind This Playlist
Primavera Sound 2023 was my first ever PS—even though I’m from Barcelona.
As soon as the line-up dropped, I jumped into one of my favorite parts of the whole experience: discovering the artists and curating my own playlist.
I created it with the friend I was going with, using a collaborative Spotify playlist.
Sure, the official playlist was already there (and a thousand others too), but making our own just felt way more personal.

When I Used This Playlist
During the months leading up to the festival. We’d share songs, thoughts, discoveries—and the playlist kept evolving with us.
And now? It’s something I still play to revisit that moment.
How This Playlist Helped Me
It helped me connect more deeply with the artists before seeing them live. I had already built memories with those songs—they were part of my routine, my conversations, my headspace.
So when the festival came around, the sets were even more special.
That’s when I realized: curating your own playlist makes the festival yours.
So if you’re going to a festival soon: don’t just use the official playlist. Curate your own. Make it yours.

Prompts That Helped Me
Who’s on the lineup that I don’t know yet?
Which songs make me feel something—even before seeing the artist live?
Which artists do I want to explore further after the festival?

If I were a playlist, the title would be short and sweet (and creative), the description would include a pop culture reference, and the thumbnail would be a late ’90s anime frame with a nostalgic aesthetic…
Wait a moment... This is exactly how my playlists are!!!
